In accordance with the beginning of the year (1)315, the yearly taxes of the carriage road along with those of leisure carriages for Jerusalem-Jaffa road were proposed for public bid. And after publishing the announcement of this public sale for eleven days, and doing the necessary procedures in agreement with the bidders, the carriage road taxes have been determined for the amount of one hundred and twenty thousand piasters sâgh in favor of Shukrî Effendi al-Nashâshîbî with the guarantee of Hasan Effendi al-Nashâshîbî. While the taxes of leisure carriages have been determined at the level of fifty five thousand piasters sâgh in favor of Alî Sharaf and with the guarantee of Shakir Aghâ. Since the recurrent prices of taxes are proper and the guarantors are considerable, and in order to authorize these taxes and to take the [needed] proofs?, this decision was taken on the 30th of Mârt (1)315 (11th of April 1899).
