Scope and content

Upon the Sanitary Inspector’s letter dated 23 January 1910 and numbered 190
This letter by the Sanitary Inspector has been read. It is indeed the case that the doctor in charge at the municipal hospital cannot deal with the treatments of all the current and prospective patients, and especially with the examination of patients to stay in the contagious diseases’ wards decided to be opened in the year, i.e., 1326 [1910-1911]. Additionally, since the central municipal doctor has to deal a lot with the continuous judicial matters, etc., patients staying at the hospital cannot be properly treated. Hence, it has been considered indispensable that, in addition to the current doctor in charge at the hospital, another doctor assistant be employed. It has been decided by the Sanjak Administrative Council that Dr. Mehmed Kâmil Bey, a graduate of the Imperial School of Medicine, whom was heard to have resigned from his post as the Municipal Doctor of Beersheba and has been frequenting the hospital for a while, be appointed as the assistant doctor at a salary of 600 piasters as of the beginning of March of next year, i.e., 1326 (14 March 1910). It is appropriate to provide the means necessary for granting approval to his official duty by the Civil Medical Affairs and General Health Council. The 12th of Kânûn Thânî (1)325 (25th of January 1910).
