Upon the Kaymakamlık of Nazareth’s letter dated 20 November 1908 and numbered 74
As notified in the decrees later sent concerning this issue, it has been rendered optional to weigh people’s stuff with the municipality’s steelyard. There is no clarity as to the fact that the tradesmen lacking steelyards have to weigh up their stuff with the municipality’s steelyard. It is thus appropriate to notify in reply that the matter has been relegated to the Sanjak Administrative Council for negotiating the issue and explaining the proper course of action. The 19th of Tishrîn Thânî (1)324 (2nd of December 1908).
