Upon the Bethlehem Directorate’s letter, dated 4 September 1908 and numbered 76, regarding the building tax taken in the village of Beyt Cala
The related rules and the given notification stipulates that the buildings to be constructed on public property be based upon the imperial decree. Hence, no building tax is taken from the villages belonging to Jerusalem, so it would not be lawful to take such a tax from the people of the village of Beyt Cala. Nevertheless, taking into account of the buildings to be constructed on public property in this village, it has been considered necessary that they be constructed following the requirements record and confirmation to be shown by the Office of Main Register of Revenues. For negotiating this issue and announcing due actions to be taken in respect thereof, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council. The 22nd of Aylûl (1)324 (5th of October 1908).
