For the wood and timber necessary for the ongoing construction of the official buildings in Kerek, a Dutch auction was organized under the supervision of the Staff Officer Tevfik Effendi. In addition to these woods, in accordance with the bill herewith enclosed by the inquiry official Reserve Lieutenant Hamid Effendi, wood at a worth of 7,747.30 piasters was purchased and sent to Kerek. The contractor demands this to be paid and when Hamid Effendi was inquired about the issue, he responded that a said amount of wood was purchased as demanded by the Staff Officer Tevfik Effendi. Additionally, apart from the wood put to Dutch auction, 100 woods and 30 wooden girder were purchased for the military hospital. In the telegraph, dated 11 August 1894, sent from the Mutasarifate of Maan, it was stated that the cost of these products, which is approximately 3,700 piasters, be covered from the sum sent here from Salt. However, nothing has been said about the cost of the ones additionally purchased. It is appropriate to send a decree to the said mutasarrifate in order to explain from which source the cost of these extra products must be paid. The 3rd of Agustos (1)310 (15th of August 1894).
