The council found out that if a specialized watchman was not hired, the avenue extending from al Khânqa al Salâhiyya to Qantarat ‘Uqbah al Sabbagh will not be cleared of urine and dirt. Accordingly, it was decided to appoint Hâj Muhammad Alî al Mughrabî as watchman to the stated area starting on Mârt (1)318, with a monthly salary of five riyâl majîdî. Accordingly, the license was given on the 4th of Nîsân (1)318. It was also decided to appoint Abdul-Halîm Darwîsh to the municipality garden starting from the 10th of Nîsân (1)318 (23rd of April 1902).
