Upon the letter, dated 18 February 1911 and numbered 1067, sent to the municipality by the Jerusalem Postal Directorate, regarding the freight rate from the center of Jerusalem to the railway station
The said freight rate has been put on Dutch auction and necessary incentives have been given to relevant people. As stated in this letter, no one has come to offer 25 liras in exchange for the guarantee. As a result of negotiations, it has been stated that it would be possible to do with 15 lira, leading to the decision that the work be undertaken at a rate of 600 piasters by Yakûb Şâkir Agha. The annotation under the Dutch auction bill makes it clear that 15 liras have been obtained. Hence, as regards completing the necessary course of action in respect thereof, this letter has been returned to the Postal Directorate. The 13th of Shubât (1)326 (26th of February 1911).
