It has been found from the rent amount linked to the value of the real estate tax? imposed on Bâb al-Wâd Hotel belonging to the municipality, that the mentioned hotel along with the land in front of it are recorded at the Department of Real Estate Tax (wîrkû, verko) as a state-owned land (mîrî). Therefore, a report has been presented by our department to correct the records and a decision has been made by the council dated on the 23rd of Kanûn Awwal (1)314 holding the number 1680 to contact the religious court and the court of first instance to approve the municipality’s disposal and to get the needed notices. Accordingly, the council has decided to contact the above mentioned courts with the knowledge of the authorized [officer] of the council lawsuits, Jiryis Effendi Jawhariyyah. In order to pay the needed fees from the council treasury, this decision was taken on the 28th of Huzayrân (1)315 (10th of July 1899).
