After the multazim had delayed the payment of the specified installments of the tax of the macadam road going from Jerusalem to Jaffa, for the year 1315, it was decided to put to auction the said tax in accordance with the provisions of the iltizam bill. Until the realization of the tender, an official be temporarily appointed as tax collector. It was approved that our council member Nikola Effendi be sent to Jaffa for this service. In order for the said Effendi to legally carry out his duty and not to have any tax loss, it is necessary to issue an order to the kaymakamlık of the kaza. The 3rd of Huzayrân (1)315 (15th of June 1899).
