Secret report; in 1909 Ottoman government permitted to English expedition to excavate near Gihon Spring. Expedition was formed by captain Parker, major Wilson, 1 Armenian dragoman and 2 members of Parliament for surveillance. Excavations in secret with good finances. Rumours about search of King's David treasures or a channel to Solomon's temple under Mosque of Omar. Using a secret authorization of local administration they started to excavate in the mosque, the secret was disclosed, disturbances, rumours about massacre in mosque, panic.
