An application under the signature of Hâj Khûrshîd Effendi al-Shihâbî, stated that because of the great amount of work he has, he should be excused from the membership [of the municipality council]. Accordingly, the election tables have been reviewed, and it turned out that the recommended person who has been elected in (1)312, should be replaced by Yâsîn Effendi Qataniyya, since he got the highest votes. In order to obtain approval, this decision was taken on the 1st of Huzayrân (1)314 (13th of June 1898).
