The owner of the house in which he resides puts pressure on him in order to pay him the rent; he is known to be a poor family man, he has no money to pay him, he has been in prison, then he got sick and was released with a guarantee by the mukhtar until he comes to Jerusalem so that His Beatitude will show some mercy and help him; he also has two letters describing his terrible situation, one from the Mukhtar (No 179) and one from the Kaymakam [high administrative official] (which was given to Tzirges Efendi/ Τζήργες Εφένδη).
