Since the (contract) period of Hanna Suwân, the tax farmer for cleaning of the Old City has come to an end, it appears that master Jiryîs Al Zanânîri …..... The council has decided to give the mentioned Jiryîs Al Zanânîri the responsibility of supervising the cleaning (?). The supervision (munâthara) should be done by the members (of the council) and the guards every two days...... (unclear) The 9th of Mârt (1)314 (21st of March 1898).
