In accordance with the budget decided by the municipality starting at the first of Rajab (1)315, the council has decided to increase the salary of (al-‘ûturjî)? from one hundred and fifty piasters to two hundred piasters under the condition to do the job of (al-‘anbarjî)? and (al-‘ûturjî)?. Since the former (‘anbarjî)? Mahmûd ‘Aghâ was appointed as a supervisor of sprinkling and it has been found that al-‘ûturjî? Faraj has the competence for the two jobs. Accordingly, it has been decided by the council to appoint him for this job starting at the first of Tammûz with the salary of two hundred piasters, to supply him with what is needed from the municipality stock and to take the necessary proofs. In order for this to be approved, this decision has been taken on the 30th of Huzayrân (1)315 (12th of July 1899).
