Because some the inspectors were dispatched to perform military service, and no others took their place, and since their salaries still exist, it became necessary to appoint an inspector with a monthly salary of 600 piasters a month, to be paid from the inspectors’ salaries who were sent to military service. Sâlih Effendi al-‘Alamî is an inspector recently relieved of his duties, and who has the ability to occupy this job. In order to obtain the permission of the administrative council and issue a decision to pay this salary from the other inspectors’ salaries, this decision was issued on the 30th of Nîsân (1)333 (30th of April 1917).
