As ordered in the decree, dated 10 October 189[illegible] numbered 54 and sent from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two/fortieth of the remaining sum after the deduction of costs from municipal incomes shall be reserved for the needy, and in exchange for the mandates to be drawn up by municipal offices and with the approval of the vilayet, beneficiaries shall be put on a salary of maximum thirty piasters from the allocated fund. When the Ramla municipality’s budget sent to us was examined, it was seen that the fixed income composed of miscellaneous income sources was 27,000 piasters. Two/fortieth of this sum adds up to 1,350 piasters. It has been understood that even though this was the amount that should be allocated for the beneficiaries, 4,250 piasters were reserved. It has been decided that this mistake be corrected and only 1,350 lira be reserved for this matter. Additionally, when the accounting of the same council was examined, it was seen that although the two thousand piasters, which is the license tax of the steam engines run in the kazas of Ramla and Lud, must be given to the Ministry of Commerce, it was added into the municipal incomes. It is necessary that this sum be covered from the money left over from 4,250 piasters. It has been deemed appropriate that this matter be notified to the kaymakamlık of the kaza of Jaffa with a decree. The 21st of Huzayrân (1)310 (3rd of July 1894).
