A deliberation has taken place about the rent of houses inside the old city in order to organize the budget log for the first of Rajab (1)321. Therefore it has been decided to conduct another rent-level survey (?). Since the beginning of the month of Muharram is approaching, we have decided to nominate one of us, the honorable Yûsuf Effendi Al ‘Alamî in order to conduct the rent-survey in all houses, Muslim, Christian and Jewish. Accordingly, each family should be considered according to the degree of their need. A log has been given in order to start (illegible) under the needed supervision. In order for this to be approved, this decision was taken on the 21st of Shubât (1)320 (6th of March 1905).
