[We announce] that a wallet has been found by policemen on the road since ten months. [This lost wallet] is distinguished by certain amount of English Liras and a pair of buttons. Since the owner of this wallet has not yet shown up, it was [therefore] kept in the treasury as a deposit. So, whoever lost such a thing, should contact the [above] mentioned department. [However], if nobody appears to be the owner of this lost wallet, it will be confiscated by the treasury in accordance with the directions. In order for this to be known, these directions were announced on the 3rd of Tammûz (1)315 (15th of July 1899).
