Individual book where the annual balance sheets of each financial year beginning on the 1st of May and ending on the 30th of April are inserted, beginning from our Mediocrity’s Patriarchal office, i.e. from the 19th of September 1883. The said balance sheets, i.e. the recapitulation of each year’s revenues and expenses of our Holy Community sorted by article, are composed as follows: on the one hand, for the revenues, from our Mediocrity’s individual book containing the various revenues and other receipts that are handed to the Treasurer by the Finance Committee; on the other hand, for the expenses, by the Treasurer’s book called Ready Chest, where the various expenses are inserted in virtue of proxies of the Finance Committee; as for the salaries, in virtue of the salary scale, inasmuch as they are known and defined. These balance sheets being inspected and signed by our Finance Committee are then validated by our Mediocrity. In Jerusalem, Nikodimos of Jerusalem.
