It is evident that Khalîl Sâlih Ashraf, the officer in charge of the poor, is not doing his work properly and there have been complaints about him. It appears that Jumu‘â Mustafa Abû Dîâb has the necessary qualifications for this job, and accordingly the council has decided to hire the registered Jumu‘â for this job. He will be paid the appropriate salary which amounts to 100 piasters starting from the 15th day of the month of Shbât (1)322. In order to procede, this decision was taken on the 13th of Shubât (1)322 (26th of February 1907).
