It has been decided on the council level to rent the first store located inside Jaffa Gate beneath the room belonging to the military department for a period of one year from the beginning of Muharram (1)313 to its former tenant ‘Ishâq Swîlâ al-Kabrahî for an amount of twenty five French Gold Liras to be paid upfront along with the fees of the contract which is one hundred percent [of the rent]. In order for this to be approved, this decision was taken on the 31st of Mâyis (1)311 (12th of June 1895).
