Dmitrievsky in the Slavonic beneficent society in Petrograd on March 2, 1915. Historical information about the Crusaders, and interpretation of WWI as the last Crusade. History of the Orthodox pilgrimage in the Holy Land, the foundation of the Russian institutions: the Mission, Palestine Committee and Palestine Society. Activities of Porphyrij Uspensky, Kiril Naumov, Antonin Kapustin. Scientific research of the Russians in Palestine. The future protectorate of the Powers over Palestine. Rivalry between Catholics and Orthodox. Advantages of British protectorate: the British don't practice active proselytism among the Orthodox Arabs. The negative role of the Orthodox Arabs in administrating the Eastern church; the Greek should be encouraged by Russia. Includes marginal numerous pencil corrections by Dmitrievsky, in Russian and pencil ink. Other details: ff. 35-36v copy of a Russian translation of a letter addressed by the Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem to the Orthodox in El-Khuri.
