Our council presented a letter to the Greek Patriarchate regarding the removal of the iron and wooden passageway manufactured to conjoin the buildings belonging to the Greek monastery situated at both sides of the road going to the Latin patriarchate. However, as the said passageway is not a big bridge and has been considered to be quite high, the letter sent in response demanded that a permission be given for it to remain as it was right then. The matter was thereupon relegated to the Sanjak Administrative Council and since the said passageway is akin to a bridge, it was stated that it must be removed in accordance with the provisions of the 6. article of the Public Buildings Regulation. It is thus appropriate, first of all, to inform the Patriarchate about the situation via a letter. The 16th of Kânûn Awwal (1)311 (28th of January 1896).
