His father was a tinner, he died of fire, he hasn't learnt his father's trade, he employs a Jewish man in his shop, who was recently told he should not be allowed to work there anymore. The petitioner is requesting to let the Jewish man continue to work in the shop; the man will be obliged to close the shop on Sundays and during the holidays; and he will stand up to show respect to His Beatitude whenever he passes by. Otherwise, the shop will close entirely because none is buying it.
