Jiryis Effendi Jawhariyya’s contract period for planting trees on both sides of the road leading from Jaffa Gate to the municipal hospital is over since the end of the month of Shubât (1)322. If the mentioned trees were left without care, there is a risk that they be broken or lost. Therefore it is urgent to __ and water them at the needed times. Accordingly, the council has decided to nominate Hâj Ahmad Al Sunûsi and Hâj Mubârak Ibn Ahmad as caretakers beginning on the 1st of Mârt (1)323 with a monthly salary each of 114 piasters. In order to procede, this decision was taken on the 8th of Mârt (1)323 (21st of March 1907).
