The Municipal Hospital’s letter dated 29 January 1910 and numbered 33, regarding the furnishing of the place for contagious diseases
This letter by the municipal hospital’s doctor has been examined by our council. As shown in the attached register, it has been understood that the furnishing of the place constructed for contagious diseases at the said hospital requires 7,292.3 piasters as respected current akçe. Although there is no source in this year’s municipal budget to cover this expenditure, this year’s revenues of the Jerusalem-Jaffa macadam taxes, used in exchange for the expenditures for the said hospital, have exceeded the estimated expenditures in the budget. Relevant records reveal that the requested expenditure can be covered with the surplus revenues of the said macadam taxes. Hence, for holding a negotiation on this subject and taking a decision, if deemed suitable, to cover the said sum through non-budgetary means, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council.
