A report dated on the 20th of Shubât (1)321, from the municipality's engineer, Ibrâhîm Effendi, states that the carriage road that branches to the parking of the railway station and leads to the German mahalla is damaged. It needs 3430 piasters for repairs. Another report also dated on the 20th of Shubât (1)321 states that the city’s hotel, known earlier as the library, is damaged and that it is necessary to repair it to avoid further damage. It needs 1010 piasters to be paid in installments for repairs; after deliberations, it was necessary to carry out the mentioned repairs, by the municipality. Since the repairs are better carried out by proxy than tax farming, one of us, the respectable shaykh Abdul Rahmân Effendi Al Budîrî and the recommended engineer were appointed to carry out the repairs of the carriage road, while the respectable Muhammad Yûsuf Effendi with engineer Nasrî Effendi were appointed to carry out the repairs in the hotel. In order to pay the stated money and start the work, this decision was issued on the 21st of Shubât (1)321 (6th of March 1906).
