Report; thanks to chief rabbi in Constantinople Chaim Nahum Effendi party "Alliance Israélite" insisted in nomination of Moshe Franco for the post of chief rabbi of Jerusalem, Spanish Jew, 70 years old. He is not intelligent or savant and will be an instrument of this party. Local Jewish community accepted him, but conflicts are possible in future; Jewish community.
